Our thanks to Pittsburgh’s White Whale bookstore for their enthusiastic embrace of Lauren Russell’s Descent even in a time of pandemic. The store is hosting a virtual book launch for Descent on June 12th. Please join us!

From White Whale’s event listing:

White Whale is overjoyed to be hosting the launch for Lauren Russell’s latest book, Descent (Tarpaulin Sky). We’ve been lucky enough to hear different selections from this book over the past year, and can attest to its gripping brilliance, and its urgency. Lauren will be joined by Imani Owens, who will MC the evening, as well as poets Joanna Fuhrman, Lewis Freedman, Joseph Gunho Jang, Amaud Jamaul Johnson, Soham Patel, and jah watson, who will each read one poem in conversation with the theme of “descent.”

Lauren will be signing and personalizing copies of Descent, which you can order from our main website here.
